Ayāthima or Ayathrem Gahambar occurs in the fall from 206th to 210th day as per the Fasli or seasonal Calendar (Meher Mah & from Roj Ashtad to Aneran; i.e. Oct 12 – 16 as per the Gregorian calendar). The meaning of Ayathrem is not clear, but it is believed to be
homecoming and the time of nourishment. It is the time of the year usually linked with the breeding season of the cattle, when the animals are brought home to shelter before winter sets in.
