OZCF Centre

It is envisaged that our community members will build this centre, Our Centre, by providing labour and expertise wherever possible, along with expert technical direction from professionals. We will engage architects and building professionals, hopefully from within our community, to guide us as we spend weekends building our vision, brick by brick, with our own hands and heart.

We shall all be proud that this centre will be our community centre, every one of us, for the present generation and for our children's future. It will ultimately serve to ensure the preservation of our rich culture and heritage, and promote awareness and recognition of our ancient Zoroastrian religion, within and outside our community, from generation to generation.

Current Objectives

Religious Organization
Advance the teachings of the Zoroastrian faith, and the religious tenets, doctrines, observances and culture associated with the faith.

House of Worship
Establish, maintain and support a House of Worship.

Religious Schools
Establish and maintain a school of instruction for children, youth and adults.

Community Services
Establish a community centre to be used for workshops, programs, athletics, drama, art, music, handicrafts, hobbies and recreation for the benefit of Zoroastrians and the general public.

Immigrant Services, Literary and Employment Training
Provide counselling, education, employment and support services for immigrants and refugees, and information on Canadian culture and life.

Long Term Objectives

Community Development
Provide poverty relief in developing nations by providing food and supplies.
Provide disaster relief and the necessities of life to victims.

Relief of Property
Provide food and basic supplies to persons of low income.
Establish shelters for the homeless, and providing counseling and other programs.

Senior Citizen Centre and Services
Build and operate a senior citizens centre to provide recreation, education, cultural activities and other programs for senior citizens. Provide support services to aged persons in terms of health and medical services, temporary care, housekeeping, meal preparation, nursing, transportation and shopping assistance.
