Low Fat Rewa

Ingredients

 ¾-1 stick unsalted margarine
 2 tbsp. chopped almonds
 3 tbsp. golden raisins
 6 tbsp. semolina (or farina)
 6 tbsp. raw sugar (or 4 tbsp. splenda)
 6 cups non-fat milk
 powdered cinnamon/nutmeg
 ½ tsp. vanilla essence

Method

 Take ¼ stick of margarine. Melt over medium flame, and fry the almonds and raisins. Remove from stove when golden brown, and put aside for later.
 In the same pan, add the remainder of the margarine, and allow to melt.
 Add the semolina and sugar, and cook on low flame for about 5-7 minutes.
 Slowly add milk and vanilla essence.
 Continue to stir, and make sure mixture does not stick to bottom of pan. If needed, add more milk.
 Boil and cook to required consistency, and pour into serving dish.
 Allow to cool, and sprinkle with powdered nutmeg/cinnamon.
 Garnish with fried almonds and raisins.
